  1. I drive a 2002 C4S and replaced the stock suspension with a set of PSS9s, lowering the car. It seems I cannot get the rear wheels in correct toe-in alignment. Several companies offer adjustable toe control arms.

Talking about it with my father-in-law, he suggested that it would be "fun" for him to build me a set. Fortunately, he has a sophisticated machine shop which makes parts for drag racing applications.

So, does anyone out there have the specifications for the adjustable rear links (dogbones) or adjustable rear toe steer bars for the 996?

    thanks

you can email them to me at rdg061@gmail.com

  2. Thanks, Loren and everyone else for your posts.

I did rear pads on my 2002 c4s, well, at least one side.  i will do the other side next weekend.  got real cold in my garage.

the hardest part was removing the squeal dampeners, especially from the inside pad.  It was hard to see the edges to get a blade underneath them.  But, after a while, i was able to get the old ones out.

i tried replacing the wear sensor, but i could not remove the wire from the connector behind the shock.  So, i used the old one, which seems to be working fine.

any suggestions to help remove the old sensor wire.  on my 993, the sensor wire was pushed into a socket.  here it seems to be held in by a cap of some sort.

    thanks

  3. each dealer service is different.

when i was in chicago, i never got really good service at a dealer. I moved to south Jersey, and I have developed a good relationship with Cherry Hill Porsche. It is almost like working with an independant shop. It may help i also service 2 VWs and and audi there too.

i think if you talk respectfully and truthfully with the service manager, you may be surprised. One thing about their HIGH prices is that the work comes with a years P&L guarantee. when they install my parts, i dont get that.
