  1. I had a cel today and error 1531 came out.... none the less I still drove the car around as the CEL *wasn't* flashing.... after a few starts and some mileage the CEL did not come one when I started the car... I had the 1531 come on about 2 years ago...we cleared the CEL and it didn't come back on until today... engine seems to be fine.... if this indeed is a problem.. so now I have cruised around for a few hours with no CEL on.... any recommendations?
  2. I have a 99 C2... my clutch was just replaced and I guess we forgot to fix the squeaky clutch pedal... doesn't squeak in the morning but after about 4-5 shifts you start hearing the squeak/groan every time you depress the clutch... the sound is coming from the pedal area.. does anybody know what is involved and the costs of parts and labour? thx! P.
  3. So it sounds like simple solution. Drive, wait and see. what is the voltage on the battery gauge 10 seconds after you get it started?
  4. yup.... I've just ordered another set of S02-A compared to teh RE050 and RE050A they are also less in weight by 3 lbs in the rear and 2-3 lbs in the front for a 17" tire.... great tire.
  5. I'm looking to replace my 17" tires on my 99C2 and have used 2 sets of Bridgestone S02-A and they were great tires ... no problems whatsoever... given I have 17" rims I'd like to try either the Michelin Pilot Sport "RIB" (N2) or the PZero ROSSO (N3)... one thing that concerns me is sidewall strength... if I was riding on 18" it would be less of a concern.... but because of 17" rim don't want a flabby sidewall that would take away from performance..... so between the ROSSOs and RIBS which is the better tire for enthusiastic driving (on a 17" rim....) the bridgestones are great ... just want to get into something new... have heard good things about both the RIBS and ROSSO's..... anybody who has used these tires before please feel free to chime in... thx P.
  6. what's the favorite around here between Michelin Pilot Sport "RIB" and Michelin PS2
  7. Had mine open for the first time yesterday and did not notice any rattles at all, up to just over 80MPH anyway. I would hit your service dept. :drive: <{POST_SNAPBACK}> <{POST_SNAPBACK}> having that problem on my 99C2... try playing with some of the "spines" that are aboev the rear seats... the spines are in the roof liner and run width wise... I think one of them is loose as it makes an annoying clicking sound... don't know how to fix that one but its annoying as hell... the only rattle the car makes... Pete
