  1. From what I hear, I was told of two local shops....one in Manotick "Autobahn" and one in Vars. I may check out the one in Vars as I live in Embrun.
  2. Wow, thanks. I love this car, never gave me any trouble so I'm hoping its and easy fix. Come to think of it oil consumption was never high up until last week when I noticed I was down a quart within short period of time.
  3. Im in Ottawa Canada now...temps have be in the high 20'sC or 80'sF. Don't push her too hard, but redline at least once a week... I do have over 100 000 miles and this has been the first and only major issue. Outside that just a few blown bulbs!! ;)
  4. ....thanks for the input, why does it clump up like that...if it was oil should it not be dark and murky?
  5. Went through the forum and It looks like I have all the systems. Oil is in the coolant, but not the other way around. No white smoke and the dipstick shows no sign of coolant contamination. What a mess, the stuff looks like chocolate pudding.... My link
  6. I have never had any issues with my battery. I do travel often...two weeks at a time in most cases and my car is fine when I get back. I do have a 1987 190E that has a Priority Start! 12 Volt ProMax " an automatic computerized on/off switching system protecting battery voltage and starting power. If battery voltage drains below 11.7 volts when engine is off, it automatically disconnects the load. The battery voltage immediately recovers. TO START: just step on brake pedal, starting power is automatically reconnected. Designed to handle 1000 starting amps" Simple to set up and it works.
  7. I installed a set last week. Due to my old Bosch plugs were at the end of thier life. Car felt much better at idle and performance was back to normal.
  8. ....all I can say is wow. I never thought that I would...or could be so intimate with the rear-end of my car. I'm sure many of us have been down this road but thank god for nimble arms and fingers. Oh and a good drop lamp!! I can see why some opt to remove the mufflers...it would have made the job easier but I was able to get it done without going that far. Changed the oil as well...hmm RMS is staring to go...getting some minor weeping. Ah well after 83000 guess Im lucky....
  9. 2001 C2 77000 Miles no issues. Drive it hard but not reckless. No garage queen but she does not leave when there is snow outside...due to the salt and grit used to melt the snow!
