  1. if that helps, the problem of the car I had here (which the thread was originally about) was the high pressure fuel pump.
  2. if you consider such top diagnostic machines like Tecnomotor PF Socio and Bosch KTS650 (don't know which exists over there) regular scanners than yes!
  3. There's no such thing as a 2007 Cayenne. it was sold in 2008, but the build date shows 2007 (eventhough thy did not sell the Cayenne in 2007 the manufacturing of the new model has started... and this is one of the first restyled models....)
  4. Thanks for your help anyway. I think he'll have to take it to the Porsche Center in Budapest and have it diagnosed. Although he's afraid of the final bill, as last time the car was there they changed the fuel pump and it cost him 2500€ :o
  5. It is definetely P1026 and P12A1, as today I took it to an other garage had a BOSCH KTS650 hooked up to it, and it showed the same values and thes same codes. I forgot to mention, that it sounds like it's not running on 8 cylinder. Not on idle and not even at higher rpms. And the exhaust fume smells of coolant fluid... I'll ask my friend what had happend with it, as it seems like there are some bigger problems with this car...
  6. Hi Guys, I hope you'll be able to help me (just like a few months ago :D ). This afternoon a friend rolled in to us with a 2007 Porsche Cayenne Turbo. It had a bad idle, and it was showing a CEL. The problem started a few weeks ago, when he noticed it takes longer to start the engine and it runs bad on idle. As time went by it took more and more time to start it. Today it felt really bad, as it took around 10secs. to start  I hooked up my diagnostic machine, but it did not know the DME 7.1.1 specifically, and only offered EOBD. In this mode I can still everything what the ECU can, but it doesn't give out fualt code descriptions, as above P1000 they are manufacturer specific, and they may mean something else for Porsche, than for Volvo for example. So to cut short, it gave me one code: P1026 Could you give me the description for this? (I've looked at the OBD2 code table but did not find this. My friend told me that some "Porsche specialists" in Romania replaced the 8 spark plugs a few days ago, and knowing their knowledge I set off remving a plug to check it  At least they've put the correct plugs in.... The car has only covered around 200km since the replacement, and the plugs look vary bad. They are covered in black deposit, like it's overfuelling. One interesting thing regarding the bad start is, that when the starter motor starts cranking the engine there's no spark at all. It takes around 5-6seconds until spark appears at the plug. (tested with one coilpack removed and one spark plug in it) And when I checked the rpm with the diagnostic tool, it was around 130rpm for 5-6secs (that's what the starter motor does) - felt like the engine not even doing anything, than all of a sudden it went to 500 and fired into life.... That was all we could do today, as we had to go, so we assembled everything back and erased the trouble code. And around 30sec. running on idle the code cam back, but now in form of : P12A1 Same as above, what does this mean? Could you shed some light to this problem? All suggestions appreciated. Cheers, Tibi
  7. Well, I'm turning back to you again! I've tried several companies in Europe, but nobody can give me brake parts fro the facelifted Cayenne! :o (it can happen that I managed to find the bad companies...) So my question is: Where can I get the brake parts above? The best would be to get them from the E.U., but if that's the last chance, even the U.S. will do (but postage would be very high).
  8. "your Cayenne Turbo should have 19 inch front brakes (not 14.5 inches (368 mm))" Isn't 19 inch is the wheel diameter reference? As nobody on earth makes 19 inch brake discs! That would be 482.6mm! Nearly half a meter for a brake disc? But the wheel diamater seems to be OK, as the car has original 19" Porsche alloys!
  9. Thanks for the welcome! Unfortunately the car isn't mine :( , and I just found out that the build date in the vehicle papers are not the build date, but the date when the car went onto roads first). The car was made at the 1st. of March, 2007. Yesterday I removed the front wheels, and measured the front brake disc. It's d=368mm at the front. it's this caliper: 368 mm x 36 mm and could you possibly give me the original part number for the brake wear indicator cables?
  10. Hi Guys! Could you tell me the part numbers for the Porsche Cayenne Turbo? (made on the 1st. of March 2007; 4806cm3; 368kW - 500hp) -Front brake disc - left -Front brake disc - right The front discs are 368x36mm -Rear brake disc - left -Rear brake disc - right The rears should be 358mm, but not sure in this one! -Front brake pads -Rear brake pads Additionally... are there any aftermarket brakepart for this car? (Brembo, ATE, Zimmermann etc...) Regards, Tibi
