  1. Bill: I am also looking for the engine compartment temp sensor location. Did you ever hear back on your question? My fan (2002C4S) runs as soon as engine temp hits 180 + (f) and runs for 20 mins after shut down. I also get a "blower motor failure warning" from the on board computer and a blinking temp light.
  2. On a US, 6 speed 2002 911 Carrera 4S I just started receiving a system notification of a problem with the engine blower motor At the same time, I noticed the engine blower runs while driving, while stopped with the engine at idle and for about 20 minutes after I shut down the engine. The engine temp warning light also flashes. All temps are normal. It sounds like a temperature sensor problem but I can't figure out where the sensor is located to check it. Can someone tell me where the sensor is located or offer other diagnostic steps I can take. I would also like to know when the engine compartment blower is supposed to operate. Should it be on while driving?
