  1. I did a search and only saw the ones for 996. Need the torque value for the GT3 header bolts and the 3 bolts that go the cats. TIA.
  2. Thanks Loren. That's the diagram I was thinking of. This site is most valuable, thanks for keeping it going and I just donated
  3. Thanks for the detailed description. I think I have a good idea of the scope of the project now and might scale it back. Any components that come off get added to a pile of about 400lbs of other things that came off the car  Loren do you have a diagram showing just the AC system?
  4. OK, when I ordered my GT3 the thing I struggled with most was the "no cost" A/C delete option. That, and the PCCB. So everyone agreeed I should KEEP the A/C and I figured it can always be deleted at a later day. Well, now the time has come and I am considering deleting the AC but I am not sure what's invovled. Anyone know how this thing is connected up and how much all the stuff might weigh? I was talking to a racer last Friday and he thought the compressor alone would be worth 50lbs.
  5. Thanks for looking it up Loren. Did a little bit more searching and the 993 GT2 seemed to have had this. Problem with the CF ones is that they are not safe for side impact unless you have a full cage.
  6. I came across a couple of links that indicated the GT2 has Aluminum doors. Is this true? I know 928's have Aluminum doors and hood. Is there an Aluminum door available for the 996 in general? TIA
  7. Thanks guys!!! I already did the console delete so the CD holder or storage bin from the console might actually fit ... just hadn't thought of that. Otherwise will take the photo to the Porsche parts department and see if they can come up with a number (thanks for the photo toolpants.) Total savings for deleting the sound system+ cup holder in a GT3 is 8lbs. Both of these are competely worthless from a functional point of view IMO.
  8. I have removed my stereo system to save weight. Does anyone know where I can get a blank to cover the hole left behind. TIA.
