  1. I have the same problem and have replaced MAF, all coils, all spark plugs, AOS What else could it be?
  2. Manually? If you mean the side seat adjustments no just clicks nothing moves. I don't know where to start Module, motors or switch?
  3. Still working on my new to me 1999 Carrera cabriolet While replacing my tip buttons I think I may have unplugged and or plugged in the steering airbag with the battery connected. I don't know if this caused it but now my airbag light is on. Everything was golden before I took it apart. Since the horn got overly sensitive during the process I used the "o" ring repair from this forum to get it to behave but as I said now the air bag light is on. Anyone have any suggestions on this one? I want to avid the high dealer repair if at all possible. Can they be shut off like a cel? Thanks
  4. I am Trying to figure out my full power seat. The driver side does not move and I only hear a slight click each time I adjust the seat switch. I can't tell if it is memory, motors, switch or the control module. I unplugged all the points on the module under the seat and the pass side still works imagine that. I thought they were both on the same box but I guess not. The mirrors still adjust even though no adjust from the seat memory control. What are the shade tree tricks to trouble shoot this mess? Thanks
  5. Searched the forum and cannot seem to find a DIY on replacing the 996 rag top I want to go with glass in the back. Plenty on just replacing the window and also boxster but not what I need right now Does anyone one have a link to this complete r and r procedure? Thanks
  6. Well thought about this all day off and on and it gave me new interest so I came home and went at it I changed the MAF Cleaned the IACV and sure enough when I pulled the TB I realized that I had not tightened both the inner clamps on the front intake boots! dam I did not think I was that bad:) after two days better to walk away for awhile and rethink it. It works. YES! That was it.....running like King of Beasts looking for a meal........Thanks for the help too logray.
  7. Sorry for the type. I want to edit but can't find the button
  8. Just spent the weekend f;)$@n with the aos and got it on. Payed special attention to get all the vacuum hook ups right but the "lil bastard 996 " 1999 will not run now. It wants to start and run but idles out. Before the replacent it was giving 1124 and 1126 which was lean. The module was adding gas to compensate. I disconnected battery during wrench session. No wonder it was running crappy the aos bellow was collapsed. What could be the issue? Anyone have suggestions?
