  1. Messy job, worth the effort though. Will be changing at 40K from now on. Just put MAG1 European 5W40 in engine, FYI
  2. Good call on the early change, that stuff was nasty, cannot imagine adding another 30K to the scheduled maintenance, would have been 4-5 more years!
  3. Found Pentosin ATF1 for $12 a liter, free shipping, better safe than sorry, looks like I have a project.
  4. Recommended at 90K, only have 62K on an 01 C2, ATF is 13 years old, should I replace it as a PM thing or should it be fine. I already have the parts and the expertise, so hassle vs benefit is the only issue at this time
  5. Very suprised and happy, lower tire pressure made a huge improvement. Touched 125 and front felt solid. PS, I don't encourage speeding!!! just testing the issues I was having in the 75-90 range. (Sometimes you need to pass... Everything!)
  6. Dropped tire pressures to 34 front and 41 rear cold. I was pleasantly suprised by the pressure adj., touched 125 on on open interstate and very stable compared to stock pressures of 36F/44R (floaty feeling front end). Adding GT3 spoiler lip tomorrow if it fits OK. Hope spoiler lip doesn't make an adverse effect, will post after test run. PS, only testing! because of handling issues in normal speeding range of 75-90MPH.
  7. 996 505 986 00 is the part number for the pre facelift (99-early 01) GT3 spoiler lip. ~$80. Is supposed to help greatly. I have one on order abd will have i installed on Thur. Will let everyone know how it works.
  8. I dropped the cold tire pressure down to 34F and 42R, car rides better city, will hit the "on ramp" in the morning.
  9. My C2 has PSM (stability management) could it be fussing with my front end, ie trying to compensate for unequal tire spin over road imperfections? I wouldn't think the tires would ever lose enough contact or friction for that.
  10. The spoiler is extending as I can see the lip in the rear view mirror. Excellent observation though.
