  1. There are a few spy shots and observations here. http://carscoop.blogspot.com/2009/10/new-2...vs-spotted.html
  2. I sent Sunset Imports an email request to the link provided in their Porsche Parts at Dealer Cost page, but have received no response. Do they not answer emails?
  3. It's supposedly 15-20 minutes for the dealer to update it. Suncoast has the PCM 3.0 revision 1.4 for $12.95 for DIY. See here: http://www.e-partssales.com/miva/merchant....de=9552Elec2009
  4. I have this ordered and coming on my new Cayenne. Does this interfere with the operation of a radar detector? If so, does it have panels or clear spots in it that can be used to position a radar detector for good use? My MB ML has the IR blocking glass, but there are two different almost invisible panels in the windshield which are clear of the IR blocking coating to allow the use of a radar detector. TIA for your response.
  5. I guess that's one way to contribute to being the most profitable car company in the world.
  6. Thanks. In looking at the catalogs for Hengst, Mahle-Knecht and Mann, none of them offer an oil filter for this engine. That Porsche oil filter certainly has to be made by one of the filter biggies.
  7. 265/65-18 is what was used on the Transsyberia rally cars. The Cayenne S Transsyberia being sold to the general public comes with 255/55-18 all season tires. I haven't seen it yet for myself; but I've been told there are several tire size options available for selection in the driver's computer display - 285/60-18 being the largest.
  8. Those brushed aluminum trim pieces are anodized. The problem is that almost anything you do to clean up the surface, especially if abrasive, will remove the anodize coating. This leaves the aluminum surface open to oxidation, which happens within minutes; and results in more staining. To completely eliminate the stains, the part(s) need to be stripped and re-anodized.
  9. I see both dealers mentioned as parts sources. Is one better than the other? Or is it simply a matter of which is closer - Left Coast or Right Coast?
