  1. Hi folks Has anyone replaced the front sway bar, or is aware of a write-up on how to do so? I know it is a pain to do, but I'd like to gve it a shot. dadbeh
  2. These guys : http://www.bumperplugs.com/BPindex.html advertise a non-smoker package, but don't tell you what it is. Check them out. dadbeh
  3. Found great instructions here: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3362996/2 the job is done. The car now rides on H&Rs, and measures 1/2 inch lower front and rear. dadbeh
  4. worries about idiots rear-ending your porsche, and morons dinging it with their car doors in parking lots will drive you to smoke. Keep the ashtray.
  5. My carrera 2s is not a daily driver. I drive a 99 ml320, and a 66 ford f100 as daily drivers. Before the porsche I drove BMWs. I started with a number of 2002s, and ended with a 2001 540is.
  6. What was the original question in your topic? Sometimes, when the subject of the topic is fairly common, like oil change intervals, a search will bring up a wealth of info covered in past posts. Cheers. Sorry to harp on, but I concur. I was a member of a BMW forum, and there was a lot more people there willing to share technical info. I just don't see that level of technical knowhow here, but I am sure I am wrong. dadbeh
  7. It's your nickel, but are you planning on changing tranny oil , after all they have to break in as well. Engine and tranny are two different beasts entirely. I'd do the engine (lots of moving parts with tight tolerances where metal shavings can scratch and score. I'd hold on the tranny (big heavey gears with much looser tolerances). dadbeh
  8. :welcome: It would be very helpful if you told us: model year, coupe, cabriolet, or Targa. They are each different. apologies. The beast is an 08 carrera S coupe
  9. Hi Folks anyone know of instructions on removal of the front and rear struts? The write-ups I have seen are pretty spartan! I need info on how to access the top bolts, mainly which interior panels/ pieces need to be removed, and exactly how this is done so the car's interior or bonnet lining isn't damaged. Any help would be greatly appreciated. dadbeh
