  1. I have a 99 996 C4. Any instructions on how to flush and fill with new antifreeze? - Also, what type of fluid (brand, etc.) do you suggest? Thanks
  2. Seems as if I can get a hold of the Shell recommended product. However, (and not to question Loren's recommendation) the Porsche dealer stated that the same Shell transaxle oil goes into the front diff too. The dealer tech seemed concerned when I said that I would be putting ATF into the front diff. Loren - are you sure on your info? - I value your opinion and do not want to put the wrong fluid in by mistake. Thanks.
  3. Thanks Uwe. I do plan on using what Porsche recommends. Now I am just trying to find out where to get it. If only the Dealership has it, then I will get it from them. :)
  4. Does the manual transmission and rear differential have seperate drain and fill holes or are they the same?
  5. Ok Mobil PTX it is for the transmission. Will that cover it for the rear diff too? BTW, ATF for the front? - - Is that right?
  6. I read the DIY to replace the manual transmission fluid. Loren, which fluid do you recommend? – Here is what I have seen so far… http://www.autobarn.net/luc10047.html and http://store.avlube.com/mob1syngearo.html Also, other than the motor oil for the crank case and the manual transmission oil, is there any other oil I need to replace?
  7. When I get home, I'll take a pic. What I am talking about is the dash board and the door panels. The finish is not smooth - It has little crevices all over the place, like little grooves.
  8. Hi Loren, it is plastic with ridges in it. When I use a damp towel, debris gets caught in the crevices.
  9. I have been trying to figure out how to clean the inside door panels and dash board of my 996. Considering the rough OEM finish I am not sure how to effectively do that. Any recommendations?
  10. www.obd-2.com <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Wow - I might just not be getting it. I go to that site and do not see where I can order or from where. I understand that there is software involved but what cable? Sorry for the stupid questions but I am just not getting it for some reason. :help: <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Never mind - I got it - Thanks for the help.

  19. I have a 99 996 C4 Cab – What is the correct offset for 18x8 and 18x10 New Design turbo wheels? Thanks is advance
  20. I have a Samsung cell phone car charger that fits in all other cars (ie Toyota, Volvo, others too). It will not however fit properly in the 99 996. Is there an adaptor or some other fix I can do to make this work?
