  1. Dell, here in Michigan the Porsche Dealer sent me to an upholstery shop. Dealer told me that the shop does more installs and would be more versed in the install. I did order the top through the dealer though. Loren has correctly described the process. I can let you know what happens as I am due to take my car in for install next week. Incidently, the shop told me there is an aftermarket top available that is the same material and includes the window as a part of the top. It has stiching that is exposed though, whereas the original window is installed with a hot glue type of material. Tony
  2. Hmmm... I was thinking that the body was Tech Art but I could be wrong. The wheels don't seem to be any Ruf I've seen unless they have something new.
  3. These are the wheels I want ... no actually, Need! - :jump: Any idea who makes these wheels?
  4. Thanks for the price Dell. I'll keep you posted. You have a great car BTW. :D
  5. LVDell, I think I have decided to go with the Tips you described. Where did you get these Tips and how much did you pay?
  6. Thanks to both of you. Cape Cod, did you read the installation process some where or did you figure it out yourself? I think I will just repeat your steps. BTW, could you post a pick of your setup? Thanks
  7. What are good options to hide a detector in a CAB? I want to be able to mount so it cannot be seen while I am driving. ;) I also want to be able to address front and rear threats. Any ideas? From reading other posts (here and other forums) I think the Valentine is the way to go. What do you think? Thanks :D
  8. I like those but since then I have seen quite a number of others that I like. Thought I should investigate further so that I can make an intelligent decision.
  9. Can people post pics on what kinds of Tips you all have on your stock 996. I have a 1999 C4 996 Cab. I am considering various types but cannot decide. Have considered just polishing the stock tips to a high luster to black chrome. What do you all think?
  10. I want to do the mod described by Loren in his DIY pages. Where can I purchase just the hood and trunk latches see in this picture? Porsche says they only sell the entire assembly which is something like $400. Yikes, don't want to pay that.
  11. In the two pictures attached, the air scoops do not fit in with the new turbo bumper openings on the left and right side as circled. The air scoops actually protrude into the area where the center opening of the turbo bumper is. Since there are no latches to hold the air scoops in place to the aftermarket bumper like there was on the factory, what should be done in order to properly fit the new bumper? I am concerned about proper air flow to the radiator as well as a finished look. Could you take a pic of your car so that I can see into the 3 front opening of the bumper? I want to see how yours is mounted.
  12. Just got a turbo front bumper in for my 1999 996 C4 Cab. Since the left and right holes in the bumper do not match up with the air scoops for the radiators, what should my body shop do? The turbo bumper is an after market from http://www.nrauto.com/sub_index.asp?makeid...e&spage=Bodykit. I think Kevin M must have gone through a similar question when he installed his front bumper. If you are reading this Kevin, can you give me any suggestions? Thanks -- Tony
  13. Is that price for the pair or each?
  14. I did the speed sensing wire snip. My top goes down when I want it too. Anyone done the handbrake wire Mod yet. If so, any instructions for the Mod would be greatly appreciated. Tony
  15. I have a 1999 996 C4 Cab. Loren do you have part number for the silver crest on the front bonnet? Thanks
  16. I have a 1999 996 C4 Cab. Loren do you have part number for the "911" Badge on the Back Hood? Thanks
  17. I have a 1999 996 C4 Cab and would like to do the clear corner mod. Loren, do you have the part numbers?
  18. Let me clairfy. What I want is the tips shown on the red car above and the bumper shown on the black car above. Is that possible? - I don't want the oval tips shown on the black car.
  19. Loren, the gasket is all I need. could you please send me instruciton?
  20. Yes - wow what a fast response. I love this site. are those part numbers for the left and right? And are those OEM?
