  1. Is #3 in the attached picture the front tracking arm in a 2011 Cayman (987.2)?
  2. For 2011 Cayman (base) with PDK and Auto Climate control: Need AC evaporator part no. & 'Blendo-servo' part no.
  3. Trying to track down a "TI Bulletin" a poster on piston heads exists that will solve a problem I've had in my 2011 Base Cayman. See this thread for description of the problem, and source: http://www.planet-9.com/987-cayman-boxster-service-tech/92782-can-you-help-me-find-part-near-airbox-987-2-cayman.html Looking for permanent solution to this problem. Thanks, Peter
  4. Loren - US Car. I knew it was pricey, but this is exorbitant.
  5. What is the part number for a PCM 3 for 2011 Cayman with Bose, no CD changer? If I am able to source a PCM 3, what other parts are needed to retrofit? My 2011 Cayman came standard from the factory with Bluetooth and the Universal Audio Interface. Thank you, Peter
  6. Will a CD changer from a 987.1 work in a 987.2.
  7. Is the PSE from a 2012 Cayman R PDK the same part as the dealer installed PSE for a 2011 Cayman (2.9l) with PDK? This is just the cans only. Thanks,
  8. Thanks Loren. There's definitely some play in the new latch, and the dealer is going to have to adjust it. Before the switch was replaced, my front lid sat even if not below the front bumper cover. Unlike the rear hatch, the rubber bumpers in the front lid can't be adjusted
  9. Dealer (350 mi. from me) replaced micro switch in front trunk. Now lid sits a little higher than before. Dealer says its an easy adjustment, but I'm 350 mi. away. Would like to see if I can do it myself. Thanks for any tips or advice.
  10. Dealer sent pictures of the spotting on the black ventilated seats of my 2011 Cayman to Porsche. Spoke with Service Manager today, and he said Porsche referred him to "bulletins" regarding this. Dealer will let me know how this will be resolved. Anyone know which bulletins Porsche is referring to?
  11. Update to my own original post, in the hopes this will help someone else: Suncoast in Florida gave the following part numbers for the 2011 front spoiler lips, primered: 98750552705 and 98750552805 (L and R) plus rivets needed. Total price $96.07. Special order item, not on website, takes 2-3 days to receive. Update: Parts arrived from Suncoast, and are at paint shop to be painted body color (Platinum Silver).
  12. In the base Cayman, unlike the S model, the front spoiler lips come black, unless you request, as an option, that they be painted body color. I'd like to order an extra set and have a local body shop spray them body color. Suncoast sells them for < $75 a pair, but its not clear the part numbers are for Gen. 2, 2011 model. https://www.suncoastparts.com/mm5/me...ode=987CBLKLIP What is the part number(s) for the set (L & R) of the front spoiler lips for the 2011 U.S. Cayman? Thanks in advance, Patriot
  13. Hard to tell without the zoom, but that does look like it. Do you have a part number or name? Thanks, Patriot
  14. Loren: In a 2005 997 cab, what's the part number of the trim strip that sits just above the steering column and, from left to right, is under the speedometer, tachometer and the temperature/gas gauges. Its thin just above the steering column and gets fatter on its edges. Its just below the two push-in reset buttons for the odometer on the left and the time on the right. Some of the stone grey interior paint finish has begun chipping off and I need to email a picture to my dealer to order a warranty replacement. Thanks, Patriot
  15. About $1800 for PSE + @$500 for install in 997 cab with Sports Chrono but no PASM. Pressing the 'Sport' button on the console not only engages Sport Chrono, but it turns PSE on as well. I highly, highly recommend PSE. Patriot '05 Carrera Cab (Arctic Silver/Stone Grey/Black) Xenons, 19" Carrera Classics, Colored Wheel Crests, Nav, Bose, MFSW, Sports Chrono, Power Seats, Heated Seats, Crested headrests and . . . PSE!
  16. I have an appmt late next week to install PSE on my brand new 2005 Arctic Silver cab with Sports Chrono w/o PASM. The TSB says that for cars without Sports Chrono, "the active state is displayed by the light-emitting diode in the new button illumination, part number, 997.613.131.00.FMH." My dealer says that part number is incorrect in that it is for vehicles with Sports Chrono and PASM, and the correct part number has "137" instead of "131" in the above sequence. My dealer has confirmed this with another dealer, that the TSB is wrong in this respect. Currently, my switch row has 3 buttons - from left to right, spoiler, Sport and PSM. The "137" also has 3 buttons, but substitutes the PSE pipes for the Sport. The "131" switch has 4 buttons, adding the PASM picture (a shock absorber) between the spoiler and PSE pipe. I know many of you here with Sports Chrono without PASM have installed the PSE without any extra switch, correct? Patriot '05 Carrera Cab (Arctic Silver/Stone Grey/Black)
  17. Loren: Do you have the alignment specs for a 997 C2 without PASM? I found the following for a 996 at this link, but wonder whether they're still in effect: http://www.renntech.org/forums/index.php?s...85&hl=alignment Thanks, Patriot '05 Carrera (Arctic Silver/Black)
  18. Well I found the problem! If I squeezed upward from the bottom of the leatherette dash trim just to the left of the odometer reset knob, I could stop the buzz. So, until I can make it to my closest dealer (200 miles away) to install some felt tape, I soaked a Q-tip with some W-D40 and brushed the crevice between the small arrowhead-shaped metal-look trim just to the right of the driver air vent and the softer leatherette with the Q-tip. Drove over a coarse road that had never failed to produce the buzzing noise and I'm happy to say the noise is gone! Patriot '05 Carrera (Arctic Silver/Black)
  19. I'm trying to hunt down a 'buzz' in my 997 - the first I've ever had. Problem is its intermittent, but when it happens, it is over coarse or bumpy roads, and sounds like its coming from the instrument cluster/steering column area. I can't seem to locate it though. I've read posts on rennteam and rennlist with some claiming their buzzing sound was from the key fob, others a rust-colored clip related to the clutch pedal, and the last one - that seems very similar to mine - near the base of the instrument cluster - near the tach and speedo. It does seem that tilting and/or telescoping the wheel stops, even momentarily, my buzz, but it still comes back. Any ideas? Patriot
  20. That's why we contribute :clapping: <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I just did too! Patriot
  21. Loren - you are the man. I need the leatherette version in black. Is it the same price? How about a part number? Thanks, Patriot
