  1. Thanks for the replies guys, if anyone has the part numbers handy please let me know..... Thanks again, -Eli
  2. Be certain to check out some of the other boards for non-tech questions and other at www.rennlist.com or www.pelicanparts.com -Eli
  3. Yes those are the sport wheels offered by Porsche similar to the 10 spoke sport designs II. Welcome to the board! Your car isn't really considered to by "high" milage yet so please enjoy and drive her like she should. In the morning or when cold let it warm until it drops down to 700 or so on the RPMs from 1000'ish. As far as shifting goes well, I'll leave that up to you but most of my street driving calls for 3500-5500..... Of course you can always choose yours accordingly. -Eli
  4. Hi guys just gearing up to do a rebuild on the brake calipers on the 996 and couldn't find any caliper seals only dust covers..... Why am I having trouble? Tell me that there are not only dust covers on these pistons...... Your feedback is appreciated, :clapping: -Eli
  5. Have a computer-less friend who needs help..... Does anyone have the procedure of removing the door pocket lids correctly on the 996? Your help is greatly appreciated... -Eli eli@pelicanparts.com
  6. Should not be a big deal.... When are you doing this? Where in LA are you located, I could swing by "maybe" if you need a little help..... Darn rain won't let up! -Eli
  7. To remove the cluster surround etc.... Pull out your emergency switch and to the left side pull out that little plastic "round" screen. Inside of each you'll find a screw which will release the entire piece as one... Once you unplug everything you can then tear it down without any problems. I'll probably do a complete tear down of my dash pretty soon..... (1-2 months) I'll take some photos when I do to help others out..... -Eli
  8. It may take a few attempts to get it just right..... I had one on a former car of mine and it took about 4 pulls to get it just right... -Eli
  9. I recently posted a set of wheels I have for sale but have thought about just using them...... Question: Would I generate any interest if I listed the wheels I have on my car here for sale? What do you think I could get for them? Porsche Genuine: 10 spoke sports, 2 pc. Power coated centers and Polished lips with Dunlop 9090...... See attached Photo.
  10. Yes, you'll definitely have to cut away some of the reinforcement when changing to the GT2 bumper cover and even when changing to the Turbo bumper cover. -Eli
  11. To properly set your headlights up with Xenons you'll need to update your wiring harnesses (there are two) one for each side. Your looking at about 195 and 145 on the harnesses..... -Eli eli@pelicanparts.com
  12. It's not a big deal.... As I've answered this question time and time again on other boards.... I've done my own as well as supplied the parts needed for both Xenon face lift and non-face lift conversions. Feel free to contact me directly if you have questions: eli@pelicanparts.com .... I'll be more than happy to explain your options. -Eli
  13. Sorry, Registered a while back under a different user ID... Now I'm back to what I'm under on Renn 6-speed Pelican boards.... -Eli
  14. If you want to go the "face-lift" way let me know.... I've had fun helping others with this jump.... -Eli
