  1. Yeah, I went to the dealership today and there were two other cabs in there with the same dilemma. It has been raining quite a bit in NY, and it has taken it's toll on some other owners. Apparently insurance has covered the other two victims, and I will find out if my insurance company will come through soon. The damage on one of the other Porsches was over $9,000--the entire cabin was taken apart leaving the metal shell. I'm surprised the Porsche community doesn't expect more from their vehicles. I have owned other convertibles (Benz, Alfa, M3) and drainage was never an issue nor a maintenance item. I can't help but feel this isn't consistent with the ideals and price of our cars. Keep you all posted. Be well. I´ve had the same problem, however I´ve to admit that I should have been aware of it as if the water remains in the drainage you can hear it (as with a water bottle  ). The result was, as mentioned, that I´ve got a lot of malfunctions and the main circuit has to be replaced. My dealer managed to fix and replace without charging me evene it was two days out of warranty. I´m not sure but I think he didn´t told Porsche that it was because the drainage has been stucked B) Is it a fault of Porsche? Maybe, maybe not. Where I completly agree is that a check should be part of the service, however this won´t really fix the problem as it might occur during the 12 month in between => owner´s manual should incorporate a hint. Best regards Klaus
  2. I got the same information - as this is a Porsche OEM solution why not asking your Porsche dealer? If he do not know it himself he should be able (and willing) to contact Porsche on this. Best regards Klaus
  3. Second connector? On my Boxster 987 MY06 there is only one yellow connector for all functions... I´m not aware that this has been changed. However I experienced the same strong fit and I solved it by gently moving the connector out AND pulling the black fixing outside. Actually this black security lash/knob has to come out of the connector. B.t.w.: it´s not an issue to change the seats. Even (OEM) airbag seats will be identified without any problem. Best regards Klaus
  4. Thanks for the tip...never considered 'road dust' could be the culprit. I guess I need to get underneath the car and get an idea where things are located :P Tman Hi I also have the same problem on my 2005 987 rubber smell , also when i start the engine and until it reaches 80ºc a light metal vibration noise is noticed i don't now about the relation but any help is appreciated thanks in advance Your vibration is likely an exhaust heat shield. Have a look and see if any are bent and too close to something else. I experienced the same smell (after a "hot" ride as I´d call it) - in the german PFF forum a user eported that the rubber fit of its stabalizer have been hurt by the heat. He discovered this as he also experience a "plong" sound while driving... Just a hint.
