$1000 per axel is way to much!

a fair price is something $1200 for both axel, of course that is only for the parts.

You can wear down the pads til the warn lamp lids up and the rotors recommended by Porsche -2mm of thinkness.

TechArt is really really great in bodyworks, especially with their Turbo wide bodywork for the slimbody 996, saw one 40th Anniv. model in the Essen Motor Show with wided body from TechArt.

And don't forget Roock Sportsystem, makes really dezent tuning, and with power the with-in.

hey b-man,

that way to repair a sport tire is out of the question, it is definately not worth to repair a tire in that way.

I do understand for the SUVs/Off-roads when they are on their way somewhere in the forest/djungel where there are limited way to get to a garage for repair.

another question, how does Porsche warrenty policy say about flat-tire?

what I know, the new GT3 doesn't come with a spare anymore and lots of other brand e.g. Mercedes offer the sealant as standard w/ no cost and a real spare would cost you a few extra euro though.

just got a call from a devastating friend of mine, reasons are:

> got a flat tire on his M3

> it is friday afternoon

> strange tire size 225/45/18

> service garages are closing at 3 - 4 pm on fridays

now the question is, it could happen to me too, cause I'm driving w/o the spare tire due to the space in the trunk!

are the tire sealant products on the aftermarket good enought to help you to get around for a couple days?

or do you have pursches the original Porsche product?

hey all,

got a little problem, first day to the Golf club and I can't fit my Golf bag in the back seats, it is not wide enought for the Drivers, and I don't even have the No.1 driver with me!

I have a normal Spalding Golf bag and the question is, do you have to buy the a Golf set from Porsche to fit them at the back?

btw: when using Windvisor, do you fold the seatrest down or leave them upright?

looks pretty easy to rebuild this one, need only to rebuild the cover portion so the cold air-intake fits to the original hood.

but what that in picture shows under the MAF tube, is there another hole?

another thing what is the depth of the box and appr. cost?

there is no chance with any spacer on the back axel, ET45 rim is narrow enough to almost pop-out to the fender.

but you can fit 15 or 18 mm on the front axel to match the rear rims sticking out.

fits perfectly with the Off-set 45, it is like driving 10Jx18 ET 65 with spacers.

I would say that the Off-set 45 on the Turbo 2 rims is not the problem, the Turbo 2 rims, 11Jx18, have lots of space between the rims to the suspension and the main thing is the tire rubber to the fender arch.

so my garage recommended 285 on the 11J would fit perfect at the rear, so it did.

I'm using the 285/30 Michelin SP N0, cause with 295/30 tires could have problem with the fender arch.

They look great and great grip in curves!

strange enough, I find it great and smoother with aircon running (800rpm).

and what techi said, the aircon generator stops when you accelerate, to get maximum power, it's configured in the DME to do so, that's neat.
