  1. I uses the TechArt Formula 10.5" rear and it works fine, I even have tried 996TT Turbo II rims 11" rear without problem, it comes down to the offsets though and for the Turbo II with ET45 is way to less IMO for the narrow body. I would suggest with the mentioned combo put a pair of 15mm spacers should do the trick.
  2. hey Steve, how did it turn out, have you any updates for us?
  3. has anyone experience with OBD2 tool from www.lance-sensys.com? got the kit few days ago but the software couldn't recognise any of my cars, BMW and Volvo, haven't yet tested it on my 996.
  4. that is an original GT3 mk2 front flaps modded to fit on the GT3 mk1 bumper
  5. never put a 16bit disc in the 8bit nav reader, will get your 8bit to fail getting sat connection time to time!!!
  6. how much power is the M680 amp compaire to the M490 amp, 100W vs. 60W? cheers, //T
  7. 6.5" inch will fit fine w/o major mods, had that done on my former Boxster. also used MB Quart speakers, sound excellent! cheers, //T
  8. unfortunately the tuner TTP do not have any pic of the back of the car but from the look of it, it seems to be the stock 996 mk1. cheers, //T
  9. as already mentioned, Halogen bulbs can't beat real Xenon light! now days Halogen bulbs can of course get the same color to match the Xenon light but can't beat the brightness of it. have also done lots of tests with Halogen bulbs, the color are cool but no way near real Xenon. so to say, no Halogen bulbs can match up with Xenon of performance of light/brightness. cheers, //T
  10. GT3 mk2 (996 MY02>) backbumper installed on pre-MY02! no major complication with the installation and you will only need the following parts: "heat protection" bumper middle section part no: 996.505.475.02 "license plate light" part no: 1J6.943.021 (there are 2 version A&B) but I never thought of that and we modified the current to fit as temporary. cheers, //T
  11. hey Tom, u are right about Boxster AeroKit I is not the same as AeroKit II @Loren, aren't the Boxster bumper only deliver w/o the front lip but the hole are there if you wanna mount the lip? cause I friend of mine has the complete AeroKit II w/ lip.
  12. alright, that means you got the AeroKit I Type 1 sideskirts! the Type 2 skirts got double sided tape for mounting on the car body so no drilling needed. but even with Type I version, I would try to use " addhesive film" for mounting, and try to get a stronger aftermarket addhesive film due to even a stock AeroKit II sideskirts mounting kit is not strong enought in my opinion! I just had my left side re-installed, and they only charged 31,- euro plus VAT for it, not bad cause they had to take off the hole skirt. cheers, //T
  13. just bringing up an old topic about light, Xenon match bulbs: as we know, the higher Kelvin the bulbs have the less brightness we get and what about when the bulbs are mounted in the High beam, do we get more light or same as before? just got 2 sets of MTEC 4730K for €65,- incl. shippment, and thinking to install them for the high beam due to I'm very satisfied with the 4350K for the Foglight. what would you recommend? cheers, //T
  14. hmm... Karl, I got a Cab. and I think the DME is located under the cabrio cover on the passeneger side but how to get there.........hmmmmmmmmm
  15. cool, thx Karl! and do you have any tipp how to run a cable from the cockpit into the DME location? cheers, Tony
  16. hey all, do anyone know the best (a) way to draw wires from engine compartment to the cabrio compartment (996 MY00 C2 Cabrio)? I need to put the PDC unit in cabrio compartment (lack space in the engine compartment) and the sensor/power wires up to that unit from the engine compartment. cheers, Tony
  17. hey John, you could try pads from Mintex, the same house as Textar but cheaper due to Textar is the main aftermarket for Porsche. and for the damper, you don't need to renew them, I didn't :clapping: and squick from the disc nor the pads  cheers, //T
  18. changed both the rotors and pads for the front axel today with a very good friend, took us approx. 1hour pro wheel, pretty smooth actually no major problem even though the discs where pretty rosty. one thing which created a small problem were the vibration absorber pads were still glued to the brakepads, a bit odd I think due to the heat generate by braking and the glue still holds, so that was a bit tricky to separate them a part. so I'm pretty happy and even enjoy braking now :D
  19. C2 (black) / C4 (silver) / BoxsterS (red), all uses the same Calipers. for GT3, TT and C4S are different to the above mentioned Calipers and are red painted.
  20. very nice indeed! and the name "can can red" color have I never heard of, though.
  21. hmmm..... you will propably need this too, "heat protection" bumper middle section part no. 996.505.475.02
  22. hey Tools Pants, the adhesive film, could the dampers be re-use like buying new thin adhesive film form the a Supermarket? cheers, //T
