  1. I have used both the 850 and the 1000. Definitely spend the extra money for the 1000. It allows full voice commands including dialing, so you don't need to have access to your phone. It also supports caller id by announcing the incoming number through your speakers.   2. Well I went ahead and put a Y fitting in just before whatever vacuum module that is that is located just below where the vacuum tank that came with the PSE is mounted. I hooked up the vacuum tank to the Y fitting and then by-passed the switch just to make sure that the existing vacuum line could support both the PSE and whatever was already there. I have driven a couple hundred miles now with no problems. The PSE has remained in the quiet mode the entire time since I by-passed the switch, so I know the vacuum is working fine. I have went ahead and ordered the switch and intend to wire that up in the next couple weeks. It seems to me that anyone wanting to install the electronics with the PSE could use this same source for the vacuum and not have to mess around with removing the throttle body and putting in the rubber sleave that came with the PSE. Would make the install much easier. Thanks for everyone's input on this. Kris
  3. Both 28 and 38 already have a vacuum hose attached to them. I could put the coupling that came with the PSE in the rear #38 position, but the clamps holding both those coupling down are behind them and there is no way to get to them. I have the extra coupling that came with the kit and I am going to try putting in a slightly larger tube in the hole in that coupling and then put a T fitting in as close to the coupling as I can. I will then connect the existing vacuum tube and the PSE one to the T. By installing it close to the coupling, I should get adequate vacuum to both sources. I will try bypassing the switch to make sure this is going to work. I believe if I bypass the switch, it should put the PSE in quite mode all the time. If it causes problems, I will just leave it as is and live with not having the switch. Thanks for your help and also for emailing me the install tips. I currently have everything installed for the vacuum system except for hooking it up to the engine. I don't think it will be that hard to run the wire, but I want to make sure the vacuum source will work first.
  4. Could I splice into the vacuum line that is located right below where you have your vacuum tank mounted. Both of the rubber pieces on each side of the throttle body already have a vacuum line connected to them and I could not get to the rubber pieces on the tuning pipe (the large pipe behind the throttle body). The vacuum line that connects to something right below where the vacuum tank is mounted comes from the rubber piece on the right side of the throttle body. If I can't spice into this line are there other options to get a vacuum source for the exhaust? Thanks, Kris
