  1. I understand. Thanks. If the asking price is $50K...you should be able to get that car for $45k. If you have already negotiated down to $50K and you found a great car, then good for you. You should be very happy. Latest in my search... well i found a x50 for 54. I think this is a better way to go.... down the road it will have more value as well. Pick it up very soon..thx
  2. White thx - 2002 tt cars with 10 k milage dont exist for less then 50k here in jersey. If you know of one in show room condition , with documentation, 10 k and can pass paint thickness check and clean bill of health - please let me know.. where lucky the economy has depressed the pricing... in some cases.. I have driven owned 964 993 and soon this 996tt. imo i like the 993 tt style best by one point it so close - but way to much money. imo the technology is way better in the 996. Some may say that it isnt a drivers car but when your not driven rolex every day by the time your body senses your in trouble your in the wall. I do push my cars in the turns at the track and at high speed - technology keeps the car around for another weekend.... lol I do hate the water cooled heads and water period in a 911 cars but in 10 years it will not make a difference. you will be hard pressed to find a 993tt - not to mention we may all be driving electric 911's in the future. im looking forward to a turbo electric..lol thx E
  3. Loren - thx what is the going repaire go for water pump and clutch accumulator? Im a garage floor motor head. I did H&R suspension, plugs on my 964 and exhaust as well. I wish i had a lift - im not a young guy but nothing like oil n my hands - and the statisfication of me doing it. I stay away from trans and motor internals. 1. Can i do the r&r for water pump hose - any special gizmos to do this? 2. Can i do clutch accumulator - if the system is like my 964 presurized then its the bleeding is the same - My only issues is etting to it - if i have to drop a ton of parts it may ot make sense. 3. where do i get a shop manual i need to know this car inside out. thx again for your help....
  4. Loren - thx for the reply. I live in morris county nj - the car will be garaged during the winter. It will be used for pleasure 4,000 a year. Sorry for the typo its a 2002 turbo Some additional thoughts. Im told that this tt motor has issues in some cases with the secondary shaft. Basically if this goes replace the motor - cost 40K. I dont plan on motor upgrades or cpu upgrades down the road like i did on my 964. maybe air intake and exhaust tops. my plan - I do alot of the work on this car myself - brakes - oil and will drop the ic's and do plugs. I'm just concerned the motor may be a unknown pissue. I have no warranty for powertrain. I will have the car checked anyway prior to purchase. Any idea on who provides warranty? thx Ed
