So I finially started my car, its been sitting in my garage for close to 2 years now. Put in a new battery and started right up. now the problem is, i think the car is in safety / retard mode. there is a light on the dash for the tiptronics transmission that flashes between D and 4th. anyone know what that is? or how to fix it? thanks.

I have a 2002 boxster s with original 40k miles, its been sitting in my garage for the past 2 years. I have been thinking of starting this guy up, thinking about trading it since i no longer need a two seater. any advise? special procedure? should I drive it the moment it starts to get the oil circulating? should I jump it or just get a new battery. anything will help. thanks.
