  1. Hi, I’m new to the forum having recently purchased a 98MY Boxster 2.5 for a very good price as it has developed the issue where the gas tank is almost impossible to fill at anything other than a trickle without the gas pump shutting off. I’ve trawled the forum as best I can and have noticed that this has been covered many times. However, I’ve tried the E6 fuse fix (incidentally my fuse panel didn’t have a fuse in the E6 port!?!) but this hasn’t worked. A couple of threads seem to suggest that on pre 2000MY cars that it’s more likely to be an issue with the flexible fuel hoses fouling the filler flap, although I don’t seem to be able to get a definitive view on this. The E6 fuse fix suggests that you should hear a click as a valve engages if you insert the pump nozzle, however, I can’t hear anything when I attempt this on my car but I don’t now if this only applies to post 2000MY cars. If anyone could shed some further light on this for me or direct me to some other relevant threads, I’d be very grateful Vandy 88
