  1. Thanks very much Autobahn Garage. I went to a guy that has a scan and it came up with a code of P1502 which is throttle jacking unit spring test above limit .Is this a part I need to get or is there a reset or test s I need to run .He cleard that code out and the car ran just great.Till I shut the ingnition off. Then back to low rpm s .his a regular part I need to get to fix or just what .Thanks Trying to get ready for MID_OHIO this weekend .
  2. Well ,I was wondering if this could be anything to with a security of the car maybe theres a reset or something to do with that. Its just a thought .I have also been told on the computer that if it can be fixed with a scan tool then its not the computer .They are telling me that if it was bad it wouldnt beable to be running right with the scan tool .I also unplugged the mass air flow sensor .Could it be that by chance .Thanks for any help .....
  3. Wow thanks guys maybe I didnt screw things up .The mechanic that put the fuel pump in had a scan tool and he could program the tool so the motor would throttle up and runn as smooth as it should. Then when I turned the key off something lost all it had from the scan tool .It wouldnt throttle up the next time .Guys I really appreciate you trying to help me .Thanks
  4. I was trying to pinpoint what the troble could be with my 2000 Boxster.Well in trying diffrent things I took the connections off the computer in the rear truck with the battery CONNECTED.Now I think I have shorted the computer out .It wont retain the the program tp make the car throttle up.It will start and run ok up to 1,600. RPM S The car needed a new fuel pump to get it to start now it starts fine but wont throttle. So where would be the best place to look for one of those computers .Any ideas or can I get this one repaired HELP .Thanks alot
  5. Yes Todd I checked as CJ suggested.the mechanic that was working on the car put gass to the motor and it started .He then traced the relay s and they were fine .The car did turn over just fine but no fire .It does start now right away but thats about .I unplugged the battery for a half hour and then tried it again.Still the same .I wonder if the computer is screwed up .Can those be reprogrammed? The scan tool he had was about a 15,000. dollar tool that could get the car running right as long as I didnt turn the key off.Iam sorry I dont know what he actually did with the scan tool.Ill see if I can t get him here to look at this topic .Thanks everyone for trying to help,Its very appreciated.
  6. Thanks Loren ,I did try that and still no luck .It wont rev ,anything else I could have screwed up .Ok I had a guy come by with the computer thing to hook up to the car he did something on the machine and it cleaned up and would rev .Then once I turned the car back off it lost what was done to it .any Ideas on that one .

  13. Well I was planning on a nice spring day ride..Didnt happen .The car tries to start but ,Not gonna Happen. This happend about 3 weeks ago I thought maybe the battery was getting low so I hooked the charger up and it started.I didnt drive it anywhere Just let it set in the driveway for a few minutes and parked it again.Like I said today I was trying and it wouldnt start,I have unhooked the battery and re hooked it haha all I did there was loose the radio.Ok so after that I took the computer out and unhooked all connections and rehooked .Still the same .I also unhooked the mas and still the same .Any Ideas guys as to where I can check or other tests I might try to maybe pinpoint this .The closest Porsche dealer is 60 miles away and Id have to haul it there .I guess its not out of the question but man I hate to see the bill from the dealer.Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks .I can also smell gas when I try to start it so maybe not in the gas .Thanks again
