  2. Hi everyone I have a 996 turbo and have recently just returned from a week or so away. When I got back I unlocked the door using my key, got in and then turned the ignition over. The car started but the alarm went off - so I turned it off and then did it again with the same result. When I tried for the third time the engine didn't fire up. Subsequently I have tried a few more times and the there is a clicking sound but no-sign of the engine turning over. Any ideas gratefully received on the problem Thanks Iain
