  1. Please give our Search a try...

How to change your manual transmission oil

It is hard for me to describe the noise the car is making I bought it with 81,000 miles on it and now it has 90,000 miles on it and it has always made the sounds. Don't 911's have a characteristic sound. I think groaning may not be the best way to describe the noise. I would describe it almost sounding like the car wants to take off, maybe be kind of a whining noise. Would you think this is normal? I am in the process of trying to sell the car and I don't want to sell it with problems.

  2. Loren is the site admisistrator. He has a lot of knowledge with P cars. Hopefully he will respond to your post and give you some guidance. He has done a lot of short shift kit DIY's and has experience with the issues of the shift cables.

It would help if you stated the exact year and model of your car and mileage. As well as past issues (if any) with your transmission.

My car is a 99 C2 with 88K the transmission was replaced about 7k ago before I purchased it. What advice can you give me.
