  1. I found this tube video that really helps. Going to instal my replacement stab switch soon
  2. Update: I found a utube video that goes through the replacent process. Good detail on which parts to remove and the properTorex size drivers. Also came across another utube where the entire stab switch is dissected; not helpful, but you can see what’s inside the module.
  3. My driver side visor does not “snap” in the fully open position. Pass side is fine; slight bumps cause the visor to fall. How can I tighten the visor so it holds in the up position ?
  4. I’m still curious what others have encountered ( 987, mainly )
  5. The Stab Switch has 8 pins; I went over to a reliable Indy to see whether a switch can be tested. He recommends I switch out the old one and see whether the new one will operate the spoiler. If it still doesn’t work, the it’s something else. Per our discussion, the switch sends a low voltage square wave signal to the computer up front; then, a signal is sent to the spoiler motor. Yikes ! I’m thinking; if the PWIS was able to operate the spoiler, then part of the circuit must be ok. I still have to change switches……..
  6. There are 2 other versions of the Stab Switch depending on your cars options. When I submitted my order, there was a box to fill in my VIN. Based on the VIN, parts department selected the correct module with just the switches for the Spoiler and PSM.. Sunset Porsche Parts really helped!
  7. Got my Stab Switch today from Sunset Porsche in Oregon. Now for the hard part; getting access to remove the old switch out….any tips ?
  8. This Switch ( 997.613.133.00 FMH) is called a PORSCHE STAB SWITCH i found Sunset Porsche in Oregon has the best price, around $106
  9. Yes, part thirteen. Mine has two switches on that module; PSM and Spoiler. Part number? Does the centerconsoelhave to be disassembled in order to pull and test the switch ?
  10. Finally took my 2006 987 Boxster to local Indy. He used the PWIS to test the spoiler. It works. The switch in the center console could be the problem; any thought on this ? Who sells that switch ? $$ Any idea of cost
  11. The fuses for the lighter and plug were bad. Replaced both; the manual spoiler switch still doesn't work....any ideas ?
  12. I just noted that the passenger well 12v lighter-plug is not working too; any thoughts on how these could be related ?
  13. Question: Does the battery remain disconnected until the new belts are installed ?
  14. My console switch failed too; what has been discovered re the fix ?
  15. I recently had the center spoiler switch fail too. What is the solution ?
  16. Just completed this. Thanks for posting the steps. It's about a 2 level job on the 10 scale.
