  1. Hi Loren!

It is a 996 C2 Cabrio from 2002 (Facelift). It has a Bose Sound System and a CD Changer. The actual Radio is the CR 220.

I did some research now and my favorites are the Becker Traffic Pro 4720, 7820 or the Indianapolis (includes MP3).

As far as I have read the infos regarding these I only have to rewire one pin in order to make the amplifier work.

    Are there other good alternatives?

    Thank you!

    Best regards,

    Christian

Please specify the model year and sound options - so folks can give appropriate suggestions.

  2. Hi!

A colleague in a german forum did write a nice DIY for this. It is in german, but the pics and the explanations here hopefully make it understandable.

    Hi!

I did the conversion a couple days ago. It is even easier than described within the link.

I just cutted the cable of the sidemarkers at the connectors in the trunk and connected them to the cable of the turn signal for each side with a short additional cable. So you do not have to attach a new wire to the sidemarkers.

    Best regards,

    Christian

    Christian,

Thanks for this - but can you detail the instructions a little bit more?

    Thanks

  4. Hi Loren,

the code below did not work. So today I visited my Porsche dealer. The correct code is 9813. So you nearly hit it. :-)
