  1. I've got the 481 part but just need the aluminum horseshoe. Wonder if that's got its own part #
  2. So it's mostly bad news. I would need the console surround with switches and vents from an '01 996. Two benefits: No bulbous, hideous oval-shaped vents and the horizontal buttons are definitely better looking than the angled ones. Is it worth the dough? I wonder what the wrecker would charge? Thanks ToolPants for the link (it wouldn't have come up in search). I'm glad someone else had the same impulse.
  3. Wondering whether the 996 upper console piece will fit in place of the current piece in my '01 986. It looks as though it should fit, although new switch gear will be needed. I really dislike the oval vents, and the 996 version seems to mask the oval parts. Has anyone else pondered this situation? Any thoughts would be appreciated.
