  1. Hello Porsche fans. I have in my possession a 2000 Carrera 4. It appears to have been partially stripped (probably for track) but never got there. So I want to piece it back together for a summer daily driver. I am having problems locating certain parts and was hoping that someone out there can point me in the right direction. Here is a list of what I need (want): 4 inner fender splash guards (you know, for inside the wheel wells) cigarette lighter center console ashtray delete kit (i want the storage tray instead, silver or black) rear folding seat back for back seat with all the hardware (black leather) rear seat seatbelts (all hardware) fuel door hinge plastic covers that go over the seatbelts on the B pillar (both sides) and finally, in the front trunk, the floor pan has circle cut outs that were taken out. I obviously want to plug those. Now I need some advice on a couple of things: rear hatch release: I currently have to open the hatch by pulling on a wire located behind the driver side rear wheel. Obvioulsy the cable snapped at some point. I don't know if that wire is some sort of emergency release. Does someone know if that is easy to fix on my own? I am somewhat handy with tools. passenger exterior door handle: won't open door. window does come down an inch as it should. I can open it from the inside. Is this common? do I need a new handle or did something come loose? Any help would be greatly appreciated :D Regards, Roch.
  2. Hi there! I am in need of a code for my radio in my 2000 Carrera 4. Here is the info: CDR-220 Becker1 4462 Serial #2501543 24/99 Thanks Roch. :D
  3. If the procedure is the same as it is for the earlier Boxsters, try this: With the ignition on, turn the small adjusment knob that is to the right of the tachometer towards the left (i.e., counterclockwise) (It's located near 6,000 RPM mark, with an icon of an analog clock on it), and hold it for about 5 to 10 seconds. That should change it to read in kilometers. If you do it again, it should go back to miles. Regards, Maurice. I tried it on my 99 C4 and it worked also! I love this site! :renntech: Roch.
