  1. anybody know how to remove the pcm3? i bought the kit for pcm3 on sale for $299. tried the install today. i couldnt figure out how to remove the pcm3. the unit should slide forward, but i couldnt figure out how to get it loose. it is held in place with 4 tension clips on the sides, and above each one, a hex nut (size 5 or 6) mechanism. it seems like you would need to push in the clips from the side, and slide the unit forward. i also tried turning the hex nuts, but still, couldnt get the pcm to slide out. anybody removed the pcm3 in a 997.2? Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
  2. The TSB has a couple of steps that refer back to the Workshop Manual. How to perform these steps are not described in detail in the TSB, but perhaps they will become obvious to me as I start poking around. Was wondering if anyone could answer some questions about these references, and whether the Workshop Manual is something available for purchase from Porsche. 1.1 Connect battery charger. Workshop Manual ’2X00IN03 Battery trickle charging’ - What is purpose of this step? 1.2 Remove PCM3.0. Workshop Manual ’911019 Removing and installing PCM display and operator control unit’ - Anybody have any guidance or pictures of this step? 1.3 Remove center console. Workshop Manual ’681719 Removing and installing centre console’ - Anybody have any guidance or pictures of this step? 1.4 Remove plug socket from center console. Workshop Manual ’90581900 Removing and installing plug socket’ - Anybody have any guidance or pictures of this step? Any guidance here appreciated.
  3. This is great to hear. I take delivery of my new C4S at end of month. My first 911. I can't wait.
  4. I am taking delivery of my new, 2009 C4S from dealer at end of month. Does not have the factory installed Universal Audio Interface for connecting ipod, usb or external audio. The parts include a cable that connects to the PCM, and a small dock with the ports for connecting t devices.he Is this something the dealer can install? Is it a set of parts I could order and install myself?
