  1. If you search the various forums (check Rennteam, in particular) I think you'll find that 1) the parts lists (as far as engine, suspension, and brakes) are identical and 2) according to reliable sources, there isn't even any difference in the software. Thus, the 21 HP difference appears only to be on paper and likely related to marketing. IOW, Porsche gave their usual conservative estimates for the E81, and then upped the ante on paper, threw in some cosmetic changes, and dropped the price to try to sell the TurboS, since sales were flagging. I've driven a TurboS back-to-back with my E81 and neither I nor the other owner could tell a difference, but it might be hard to notice 21 ponies (real or fictional) in such a heavy truck. One thing is definite - the various versions of the stupid ECU and TCU software, and the even MORE stupid adaptation of the above, will make much more subjective difference than 21 hypothetical HP.
  2. I see they're still using the guy who got fired by Daimler-Chrysler for designing the Chrysler 300.
  3. Sorry, don't know how that emoticon got in there, that's supposed to be a "b"
  4. Well, I would think so, too, - but: a) one would also expect such a key to be included as standard equipment in a $100k vehicle; and B) there are enough other "unusual" features on these trucks that a "flat" key (as I've seen some folks refer to their pre-2005 third keys) that opens everything, but just doesn't have a remote fob, would seem like a very realistic possibility.
  5. Good idea. Here's a related question: if there IS a valet key option, does it unlock the glovebox? There are times when I'd like to lock away a few items and have them not accessible to the valet, as is the case with almost every other car.
