  1. there's a guy named jake raby that builds up 3.2 motors. and has a good reputation with the spec boxster race guys for making things that work, {and address the known problems with the motors} i believe he or flat 6 innovations can turn your 3.2 into a 3.6 and I'm guessing make it put down 300hp or so at the wheel. they resleeve the block and add superior parts, photos in the link below... http://www.flat6innovations.com/engines/st...engine-rebuilds
  2. had the squeak appear on my hardtop this year. do not use silicone or tire spray as they can contain adulterants and both the dealer and i concur that in most instances it increases squeaks. dealer and i both recommend using Silglide. and slathering the stuff on all contact points on both car and top. use your fingers to get all up in there. do not lick fingers afterwards. let it sit a moment. wipe off any heavy excess but do not remove too much. go for drive. smooth like butta.
  3. have the same headers, a giac chip, internally modified muffler- pse style, and an intake snorkle cut off with about 2 inches remaining with a bellmouth at the opening to smooth the flow. each step made a difference, but the header, and resulting loss of the pre-cat really made a difference, the sound rips when you want it to and burbles gently when you are just rollin through town, more torque off the line, snappier engine response. best headers out there? i think so, and the guys are great to deal with. no cels in 3+ years of use. relocated the bungs as mentioned above and breezed through deq as well, keeping the back cats still enables the car to clean up the exhaust. and did i mention they look sweet when you happen to find yourself flat on your back under the car? jv
