  2. Hi new to your site. My brother just picked up an old porsche 911 he clams the vin on the car is 9110111814, which if it is all the numbers I think it reads.......... 911 1970 engine type 911 t or e targa and seq# 1814 right? the question is his motor # reads 6108871 I beleive means................6cyl 911 t e 1970 manual trans seq#871 is that the correct motor for this car or has it been changed? the motors out of the car and I cant tell buy the numbers if its the motor it was born with help! I tried to put the vin in to the decoder but it said it needed to be 17 units. Any help would be a blessing. he just needs to know what he working with. thanks Frank
