  1. Hi thanks for the thought but this does not affect and of the cabin carpet just the little strip on the bottom of the door around the speaker. I'm gonna do some more inspecting but I am really at a loss with this. I do know that there was a little water on the speaker housing in the door when I removed the panel so I am going to go through the side view mirror mount. I'll post what I find incase some else should run into this.

    Mine has the same problem, I understand it is quite a common issue and is caused by a failure of the waterproof membrane in the door.

    Mine's booked in for a new membrane in a couple of weeks.

  2. The Aircon on my MY99 996 doesn't seem to be anywhere near as cold as any other car I've had.

    It blows well and the climate control seems to work because it does control the level of the blowing automatically.

    The air coming through the vents is cooler than the outside but it's not ice cold.

    Is this normal?
