    Ted, thanks for the feedback. The oil pressure does not sit at 5 on idle (unless the car is cold) but rather sits at 5 at, say 3000RPM. The manual states that it should be at 3.5 at this RPM. I'm concerned that there is a problem which the OPC cannot seem to rectify. Regards Neil.

    Hi, I have a 2002 911 C4S with c14000 miles on the clock. The oil pressure gauge was fluctuating wildly between 3-5 so I took it to the dealer to be checked. They claimed to find nothing wrong but since then the oil pressure has sat at 5, ie maximum, at virtually all RPM. Surely something is wrong? Also, the Variocam seems to be getting more and more intrusive when it goes through c3000 RPM. Should it be this noticeable? Thanks in advance. Neil.

    Hi, I removed the oil filler cap to top up my oil this afternoon. The inside of the cap, and the top of the filler pipe, was covered in a yellow mayonnaise-like substance. The car also seems to be using a lot of oil and the oil pressure gauge sometimes jerks up and down erratically. The car is a manual 2002 C4S. Any ideas as to what is wrong? Thanks Neil.
