  1. New to Porsche in general and this was one of those hey the car just blew up situations. Wont be repeating it. But the point I was making is that Audi is paying for the entire job on my A8 (+ all A4, A6's with same issue) and I would think the people here would be interested. Since these things tend to fail pretty regularly it would be nice for Porsche to do a similar recall at no cost to the owner.
  2. Yup... coils, labor, plus a bunch of cabling that melted when the coils went.
  3. Getting a check engine light on our 04 Cayenne 3 weeks after a installation of a full new set of Ignition coils and other components that were damaged during the failure. I pulled codes and the only one is the EVAP sensor P0455. Checked the gas cap and it is tight. Any other ideas what could be going on and how much more money I am going to have to pay for a repair? Going to a shop to get codes cleared just to make sure it is not a fluke but I want to be able to ask them to check any other potential problems. Thanks!
  4. I happen to have a 04 Porsche Cayenne S and an 04 Audi A8L. We just got done shelling out 1500 bucks for the blown ignition coils in the Porsche when I got a recall notice in the mail for my Audi for the exact same issue. Wonder if Porsche will roll out a similar recall? If so I want my f'ing money back.
