  1. Can anyone tell me if there is a way to find out how many Boxsters were painted in each color? Thanks
  2. I just installed the B&M short shifter in my 2001 Boxster S, and I love the feel. I do have a few questions: There is a creaking sound that seems to be conning from the area where the shifter cables attach to the shifter. Is this normal? Should I lube the connection? Before installing the cables to the shifter, I marker them for easy installation. After installing the short shifter, I still have some slack in the cables. If I tighten up the cables and remove the slack will it affect the shifting? Right now it shifts just fine, but I would like a little less play in the shifter. Thanks for the help.
  3. Thanks for all the input. I think I'll go with the factory fluid. Mike
  4. I'm not sure about the 2008 gearbox. I thinking of using Amzoil Severe Gear 75W-90. Mike
  5. Thanks, Do you think jack stands would be the way to go?
  6. I was thinking of using ramps and lifting the back of the car. I have heard that the frame or suspension may twist a little after the removal of the reinforcement plate making it quit diffcult to re-install.
  7. I have a concern. I'm thinking of changing my gear oil in my 2001 Boxster S a 6 speed manual transmission. I have read that some people are having problems re-installing the reinforcement plate after removal. Is this a project I should attempt myself or take it to the dealer? Thanks, Mike
  8. The wing is attached too the original lid. The original spoiler is still in place. I believe the factory option Front & Rear Spoilers Aerokit is installed on my car. Mike Thanks for the help. Mike
  9. The wing is attached too the original lid. The original spoiler is still in place. I believe the factory option Front & Rear Spoilers Aerokit is installed on my car. Mike
  10. Thanks, I tried the manual switch with no luck. The fuse seems to be ok as well. I understand that there are some relays in the trunk; however, I didn't want to start unplugging things if there wasn't any real problem. Mike
  11. Help, I just purchesed a 2001 Boxster S with the Front & Rear Spoilers Aerokit and I noticed that the movable rear spoiler does not function. Before I start poking around where I shouldent poke around I thought I would ask someone, with far more knowledge then myself, if this is normal. My thoughts are that the automatic rear spoiler was dismantled after the areokit was installed. Thanks, Mike
