  1. Hello Everyone. I just wanted to introduce myself. My partner and myself are in the market for a 2001 996 TT. The car itself looks very clean has a couple of upgrades such as: PSS10 Suspension Miltek Full Exhaust GIAC Computer Flash Sport Seats Reinforced upgraded Diverter Valves Litronic Xenon Head lights Factory Carbon Fiber Options Additional 6-pack CD Changer in the Bonnet The owner has only driven it in the summer and it is currently in storage. Apparently he has to give it up due to more children being added to the family. I am looking forward to searching the forums, learning more about the 2001 of this car build and finding out what issues to look for. As this is a private sale I would guess a PPI is something I should have done? Is that something the buyer usually pays for? I was also wondering whether the clutch is something I should be concerned with? The car has 58.000 Kilometres on the clock and I know for a fact that he has tracked the car. Going by the experience and how highly he speaks of this vehicle (he truly loves that car) the clutch and the rear main seal and the colling hoses are my only big concerns. Is there something else I should imminently look at? I assume he has maintained his brakes well. IN any case I am looking forward to posting more and reading a bit more about your discussions here. Thanks for having me :)
