  1. I am new to this forum. Great to have a site dedicated to the GT3! I have a 2004 GT3 w/ non-PCCB brakes. Have about 3200 miles on the car. I want to know if the brake squeal I experience is normal for this car. The brakes squeal (sounds like more from the rear, but hard to tell) when coming to a stop from low speeds, such as approaching a stop sign. I have periodically in the past about every 200 miles or so performed several "panic stops" and that seams to relieve most of the squeal, for several hundred miles anyway...Also notice that when I stop hard, such as cruising along at 55 and catching a yellow light at an intersection and deciding to stop rather than run the intersection, the brakes make a slight 'groaning' noise. Q1: Is the squeal normal for these types of brakes? Q2: Which Pagid pads are installed on the non-PCCB 2004 GT3's? Q3: Is the 'groaning' noise normal? I have asked my dealer on two separate occasions to check out the brakes (once during first oil change and most recently during a state inspection) and both times I have been told the brakes are operating within Porsche specifications (?) Any input/help would be greatly appreciated. I love the car. It is a real head-turner. I get more thumbs-up from passing motorists that any car I have owned in the past.
