  1. Assuming that you have 2 keys (remote capable or not) I am an auto electrician in the UK. As the Cayenne is essentially Non Can-Bus Toureg based. If you get a new / replacement remote fob, use the original blade portion of your inopperable key (the case is in 2 parts, the blade end has the transponder for the immo) and use this procedure. Unlock car Insert key into ign and switch to acc (has to be related to the car immo) Close driver door and insert 2nd key with replacement remote into driver door lock and turn to lock the door manually - hold that rotation whilst pressing the lock/unlock button on the remote and keep pressed for 5-10 seconds. Then remove the key from door lock and test.... There are slight variations in the VW/Audi range, involving holding down two remote buttons at once or one then the other depending on model/age. Works 100% with UK vehicles as my second remote didnt remote operate the locking or boot, and now does both - Happy Days..
