  1. I think i've found the problem, one of the new condensers is blocked.
  2. The low pressure seems fine, 2-5 bar, the high pressure blows out at 5 bar.
  3. I did call an A/C specialist today who seems to think one of the condensers may be blocked, but their new.
  4. Hi, i have an ongoing problem with my A/C on my 3.2 Boxster S (MY01) Whats happening is when it's charged/gassed & you turn it on it blows the gas out of the release valve on the compressor. Currently i've replaced both condedsers, dryer, pressure valve & the compressor. Does anybody have any ideas? Thanks.
  5. The part number i have is 99657392900
  6. Thanks for that, the one i'm looking at getting is the same part number except theres a one at the end. Is that a problem?
  7. Hi, does anybody know the part number for the expansion valve on the A/C system on a MY01 Boxster S? Many thanks.
  8. Hi, does anybody know the part number for the Aircon pressure switch for an MY01 3.2s Boxster? Its a 6 speed right hand drive. Cheers.
  9. I've just replaced both aircon condensers becase they were leaking, i had the system checked for leaks before the re-gas & it was fine. So once the system was full i switched on the aircon & blue smoke started pouring from the engine! i switched the car off & removed both engine access panels. I started the car again without the aircon on, no smoke, when i switched it on the engine started smoking again. The compressor was engaging fine & not sticking but a seal had gone on the back of it allowing the oil in the aircon system to drip onto the manifold causing the smoke. So i replaced the compressor, had it re-gassed but still no cold air but when the aircon is on the pully is stopping & starting making a grinding noise but running freely when the aircon is off. Also should both fans run when the aircon is switched on? Can anybody help with this problem please.
  10. Hi, has anybody done the sports exhaust hack like the one in pedro's garage? If so does it work & how loud is it? I was looking at doing this or maybe the Carnewal modifcation. Opinions welcome. Cheers.
  11. Yes, and then it should go out............... Any ideas if it does'nt come on at all?
  12. Hi, could somebody tell me if the airbag light on a boxster should light up when the ignition lights are on?
  13. You we're right, it was the AOS, just hope that much oil going through the exhaust has'nt damaged the cats.
  14. An update on the boxster, well while i was driving last night light blue smoke started to pour from the exhaust, so much that you could'nt see the car behind. Then it started to missfire a couple of times the engine management light flickerd then went out. i pulled over & saw oil dripping out of the exhaust tailpipes! The car runs fine, no knocking, missfire & no warning lights on just plumes of smoke from the exhaust. Anyway i had a recovery lorry take me to the local indipendent porsche dealer who are looking at it today. Any ideas guys?
  15. Hi, i noticed today that on tickover my boxster runs fine then seems to run rough for a second or two the revs pick up slightly then goes back to normal tickover. It's a 3.2s MY01. Any ideas??
  16. Hi, has anyone used/heard of these guys, 'KLISSTLE' any feedback would be appriciated.
  17. I can see they have answered my question & i'm not knocking their knowledge, i was just stating that having four cats on the boxster must hold back a lot of power. I have taken on whats been said.
  18. Thanks for the replys , the best performance upgrade i found on my celica was a de-cat so i may look at just a sports cat for the boxster.
  19. Being a sprayer i would use a dark primer for that basecoate. I don't think the primer would be white.
  20. Hi, the colour code should be under your bonnet/hood. On my paint system the codes coming up are:B64,B65,L6B4,L6B5 or Y1. It could be any one of those codes but there are various shades for that colour so you will have to gt the bodyshop to check that for you.
  21. Hi, what do you guys think will give more performance/value for money? A sports exhaust system or an ecu re-map? It's 0n a 2001 Boxster 3.2s Cheers.
  22. Hi, according to my porsche hanbook plugs on my Boxster 3.2S should be changed every 4 years or 48,000 miles. It's now 4 years since the last change but the cars only done 28,000 miles in that time. Is it worth changing them? It starts & runs fine.
  23. Hi, does anyone have a link for replacing a Boxster 986 front lower control arm? Thanks.
