  1. Interesting, I just hooked up my secondary 12v socket on my Boxster today. I attached the socket to the lower carpeted part of the center console. Then I tapped into the unused power socket located inside the center console. Check out this link: http://www.industryfigure.com/berkeley/Por...s/valentine.htm - Duster
  2. Thanks for the offer. I should be ok unless I have a leak in the steering system.
  3. Thanks Jeff! That was one good shot of Pentosin! -Ray
  4. Hey Jeff! Sounds good, when can we get together so I can get a couple gulps from you? -Ray
  5. I was doing a 30K service on my MY00 over the weekend and after checking my steering fluid it was at the bottom of the dipstick. I wanted to know where I can buy the Pentosin CHF 11 S, locally? Thanks in advance! -Ray W.
  6. Thanks Loren & Jeff! What is the non-smoker socket and part number? So, what I'm trying to accomplise is to add a second lighter for another accessory such as to power my GPS unit. This means I need to splice into the power for the original lighter. I believe I need the part numbers for the plug that plugs into the lighter socket along with 3 connector power pins for wire harness I need to make. Thanks in advance, Duster
  7. Does anyone have the part numbers for the whole Cigarette lighter assembly for the 986/996. I'm planning on adding a second Cigarette lighter on my Boxster Thanks in advance, -Duster
  8. Thanks for the info. Jeff! It's pretty tough to remove, but I'm still working on it. BTW, I'm getting the front bezel and central console repainted again to match the newly painted artic silver instrument surround and humps to match. -Ray
  9. Does anyone know how to remove the cigarette lighter from the front bezel. I can't figure it out. Thanks in advance! Ray
  10. I just got a price quote from a local Porsche dealer and the straps are $25 each. Is there something special about these straps or I can buy some regular velcro straps from somewhere? Like Home Depot. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance. -Duster
  11. Thanks Jeff for the part numbers! I got the hardtop earlier in the year and may need some help adjusting it.
  12. Does anyone have the part numbers for the following items: 1. Straps for the Speedster humps 2. Mic cover on the instrument surround 3. The plastic covers for the front tabs on the hardtop Thanks in advance, Duster
  13. Jeff, Thanks for all the help in changing my oil and doing the brake fluid flush. And of course to Bruce for letting us use his back lot. It was great seeing everyone once again! Happy Holidays! Ray
