  1. Mostly useless. If you stop immediately after a hard drive, then yes. 30 sec to 1 min. But otherwise, I doubt you drive into your garage or parking slot at full throttle with the turbos spooling at full speed, huh? I guess that at least the last 2-3 minutes of your re-entry flight were at a rather low speed that didn't spool the turbos at all.:drive: Like the answer - makes a lot of sense - reminds me of a time when I had just bought a brand new Yamaha R1 1000cc sports motorcycle and I asked Clive Padgett (Team owner of the team which won all 5 Isle of Mann TT Motorcycle races this year) "Clive in these days of high accuracy engineering do I really need to run this R1 in" - his reply was a classic - "Paul, with all due respect you will always be running it in"
  2. :-) hope you fan gets busy more often this summer Frank
  3. I drive a 2004 996TT Cab and live in the south of Spain. Its about 30 degrees C most days at the moment (about 88 degrees F for those the other side of the pond). I have noticed after pretty much any drive this time of year (hard and easy drives) the fan is starting shortly after I stop the car and running for a while. It this normal? Heres a few World Cup fun photos - http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=185921&id=633627862&l=1a4f0430ce she makes a Great Spain Flag! It was not driven like this! All help appreciated Cheers Paul
  4. Thanks Oscar - this question was posted pre purchase - i managed to get the full codes - it was not a 450 which was a shame but it was not priced or described as a 450. Lots of fun all the same!
  5. Now have the car and can indeed confirm as per your info suplied above that the UK (ROW) model key does drop the roof. Only down side is when usging the remote key to raise the roof you then have to climb into the car to raise the windows!
  6. Cheers Statman - mine's a RoW so should have the feature. Looking forward to collecting this week.
  7. I saw in an earlier verion of the 911 brochure (non turbo I think) that the cabriolet verions roof could be lowered remotely using the key (this was a cool and very useful feature of my old SL55 on a hot day). But this feature does not seem to be mentioned in the relevant 996TT cab brochures. Is it possible to lower the roof of an 04 996TT cab with the key? Cheers
  8. Thanks guys - suspect a glitch in the decoder as I dont think it is a 450BHP. Would have been nice ....... It does have the Tubi sports exhaust - not sure if this adds any significant BHP or simply sounds nicer! Will find out when I pick it up next week.
  9. Just purchasing an 04 TT Cab - just plugged my VIN into the decoder on this site and it stated 450BHP. I thought the 04 TT Cab were 420BHP unless fitted with X50 pack. Is this the case? Maybe it had the X50 pack fitted. Cheers
