jcan replied to E Kap's topic in 996 Series (Carrera, Carrera 4, Carrera 4S, Targa)I had the same problem with mine plus the front latch was a bit sticky. I made sure the bulb worked, tested for voltage and found that it switches ground, anyways long story short. sprayed WD40 into the front latch and inadvertently got it into the microswitch. The front trunk light has worked ever since.
jcan replied to Auryan's topic in 996 Series (Carrera, Carrera 4, Carrera 4S, Targa)Excuse my ignorance, but why push start it in reverse? Does it make a difference?
jcan replied to jcan's topic in 996 Series (Carrera, Carrera 4, Carrera 4S, Targa)Sorry about that it's a 99 coupe porsche 911 996. 3.4L
jcan posted a topic in 996 Series (Carrera, Carrera 4, Carrera 4S, Targa)I've tried searching and no luck... Where would I find the engine number on these engines. Thanks in Advance
jcan replied to jimmy3530's topic in 996 Series (Carrera, Carrera 4, Carrera 4S, Targa)I fill up with 94 in Canada. I've also heard that these engines use Nikasol and that a lower octane rating gasoline can cause the nikasol parts to fail (cylinders) .... Has anyone else heard this?
jcan replied to Deftones1's topic in 996 Series (Carrera, Carrera 4, Carrera 4S, Targa)I've been accused of a midlife crises. I hope to live longer than 72..... :)
