  1. I cannot believe I was so stupid and turned the bolt the wrong way when doing an oil change. It was the oil drain plug on the engine and now I cannot tighten to the correct torque without it just spinning. It seems to be just about tight enough not to leak but I guess this will show now in the next few weeks, what options do I have? As im not happy to leave it like this.
  2. Thanks, Also do you know if it makes a difference with the oil filter as one end has writing (part number) does this end need to go towards the engine, it looks the same both ends?
  3. 996 Turbo 2001, I have had my air filter of for a while and can not remember which way to re-insert the new filter is it smooth side towards engine or facing back?
  4. Hello Everybody, It’s been a while since I’ve been on here hope you are all well. My 996 turbo 2001 is giving a error on dashboard of spoiler failure this only seems to happen when the spoiler goes up at over 70mph, when putting the spoiler up by itself it doesn’t give the error, seems to be lifting okay even though the error appears. Any suggestions?
  5. Richard you are correct... you can not buy just the rod.
  6. Thanks guys this is great info, I am hoping I will be lucky as the rod has snapped in the middle so I can see the theads.
  7. It was porsche servicing department in cambridge that told me, "just rod is £60" Hmm will double check with them 2morro
  8. How do I change my aircon condenser on 996tt 2001. Any pictured or DIY info would be great. Regards, Greg.
  9. Hi My 996tt 2001 has a rusted and snapped actuator rod, its the rear passenger side. If I buy the rod from porsche its £60, is it easy to fit myself and does anybody have any info. It seems easy enough to set as its snapped in the middle so I should be able to set each end. Any advice or DIY info would be great. Regards, Greg.
  10. never did get this problem looked at but I have since had a bit of a bump on the passenger side now need two new alloys, but the good news is my mirror has since started to work again.
  11. Hi my 996tt 2001 80,000 on the clock had a aircon re-charge as it was no longer blowing cold, and it only lasted for a week. Is there a normal leak problem with a car this age? Where can I start to check? Thanks!!
  12.
