Got a steering fault yesterday, removing an reinserting the key quite a few times sorted it. Today no joy, I now have two Porsche service techs outside scratching their heads, they can't get the steering lock off to move the pepper. (They have been here for 4 hours lol) Anyone got any ideas???? They have tried removing the battery Jumping the car off a remote battery The car won't even talk to the diags computer.... As the car is at home, reversed down a narrow dirt track they can't even drag it out. Please help, before I end up with a big silver shed... Thanks in anticipation Lee Posted June 20, 2008 - 12:14 PM Driving home from the office the other day, I stop at the pool store for some chemicals. I'm not in the store more than 5mins, come back out and cannot start the car! Immediately after putting in the key, an alert appears on the dash - "STEERING FAULTY" and beeps. That's it, nothing else will even turn on, not the engine, can't roll down windows or anything. I turn the steering wheel and it turns but it should be locked right? It turns completely side-to-side, obviously not locked. I wait 10 mins, go back out to the truck and when I open the door, before I even put in the key, I get the same alert! Had to have Porsche Roadside flatbed it to the dealer and I could not move the gear shift so they 'dragged' it up the truck. They did use a soap solution to get is to slide somewhat. Now the dealer has it 2 days and still cannot fix it! ARGH! Anyone heard of this before? 04 S
  8. I have a Porsche Cayenne S 4.5 2004, she caught the wheel and a message appeared on the panel faulty steering. Any suggestions of what to do. Everything is locked, flywheel, transmission ...
