Hi guys,
The DIY section list Shell Transaxle (75W-90) or Mobil Mobilube PTX (75W-90) for the approved oils for our transmissions and front diffs if applicable (THANK YOU LOREN).
I have a 99 C4 and could not find any of the above oils. Would Mobil 1 75W-90 work? Has anyone used it?
On other cars I've had (Mitsu Evolution, Honda S2000) I have used GM's Synchromesh, and Red Line transmission oil with amazing results. They seem a bit too thin if compared to 75WY-90, but I was wondering if anyone has tried them in a 996?
Thank you in advance,
Ivo

Hello everyone,
I am just wandering what after market size rims are the most desired for the 996.
Do you guys prefer 18" or 19"?
I have a 99 C4 and am considering SSR or BBS rims - 18"x8.5" Offset 47 (Front) and 18"x11.5" Offset 35 (Rear) with 225/40/18 (front) and 295/30/18 (Rear). What do you think? Are the 295s too much for the rears of a C4?

I'll visit the US next month and thought I might buy an OBD2 unit for my 99 996 C2 6 speed RHD
Any suggestions on which unit is the most suitable, best value, easiest to use would be appreciated. I will be using a laptop not PDA.
Is it best to buy online or from a retailler.
Thanks
Check this one out - http://www.autoenginuity.com/ I have it and just used it on my 99 c4. I like the way it works, they give you free software upgrades, and ALWAYS respond to any questions you might have.
