  1. I went out at lunch and the top went up ithout a problem. I guess something got wet. Thanks for the assistance!
  2. First make sure that the parking brake light is actually illuminated. If it isn't, then you won't get power to the electric motor. Then, check the two fuses that are involved with powering the top: B6, which powers the double relay, and, D3, which powers the electric motor. If those two are okay, you either have a dead spot in the electric motor, or, more likely, one of the two microswitches inside the convertible top latch is on the fritz. Do a search here as those two microswitches have been covered with a detailed explanation of how to get around that malfunction. Regards, Maurice. Thank you-I will check it at lunch.
  3. Good morning! I got up early this morning and washed my car-2003 Boxster. About an hour later-after drying off the car-I put down the top and drove the 50 minutes to work. When I got into the parking garage-The top would not go back up! Never happened before. Did the washing of the car somehow short the motor? Anyone with any experience with this happening? Appreciate any help-Thanks!
  4. Hi-I'm going to look at a 2003 Boxster S today. If I like what I see and read-I'm going to want to have a pre-purchase inspection done on the car ( low mile car with records)prior to buying it. Can anyone recommend a good shop in the Huntington Beach-long beach area? I got one LB shop quoting $500-600 for the service-I'm looking to spend about $200.THANKS FOR ANY ASSISTANCE!
