  1. I too have the Ultimate package from Kevin installed three weeks ago. I bought my TT with 24K miles and the clutch was already slipping. I was told that the LWFW was noise, grippy and difficult to drive, and I must not be the conisor driver because I found it to be more predictable on take off, I hear no noise (but I also put an aftermarket stereo in the car so I can hear it just fine @ 80 with the top down so maybe I don't hear so well anymore), and easy to drive. I have 0 regrets and love the fact the it hooks up hard enough to chirp the 4 tires on dry pavement. Next I'll add the ECU program. When I first got the car the clutch would only slip under really hard acceleration, and not knowing the feeling of fast I thought the throttle response was stupendous. Now I know I can get it to bog. (Kind of sounds stupid when I write it, but I really couldn't tell the difference in slip and hard acceleration because it only happend above 80 at first). I can use the the extra torque (only goes to .6 bar now).
  2. Impressive. thanks for the post, I needed to know what speakers to go to when I smoke the Bose. I have an 04 turb cab, so the subwoofer leads to a problem. I started with an AVIC X920-bt for the head unit and PPI PCX 5800 old school amp. Its a "cheater" amp from the day. Its rated at 100 watts per channel X 4 and 400 X 1 for the sub @ 2ohm - Half that @ 4ohm like the Bose speakers. I hooked up the door speakers and dash 2ways for channel 1 and 2, the back 2ways channel 3 and 4 and the sub channel 5. All stock speakers. I thought it sounded pretty good. I could get a little thump out of the sub and 2 ways were crystal clear. I can even hear the artist finger slides on the guitar songs. The sub only lasted two days and it got smoked, smelled like tranny fluid burrned with a torch. I put an 8inch kennwood POS in the subwoofer enclosure (removing the port and sealing up the original speaker hole). The subwoofer enclosure is 7 litres (I filled it with water to get an accurate measurement). The sub I used likes 20+ litres sealed. I think it sounds good and the sub pounds now, that being said I like rock and hip hop so maybe other music wouldn't sound very good.
  3. Car is an 04 turbo cab, I've lost one of the round plastic (about a 1/2 dollar size) cover that plugs into the hole that is used for the hardtop pin (back hold down point). Black interior color. Thanks
