This would be a last resort - I would try again with two people and try to shift the hood slightly left and right to release. Thanks, Loren. I'll try side to side before drilling the hole.

1988 Carrera Targa. Front hood stuck closed after adjusting upper latch; I believe I miss-located the side-to-side adjustment trying to get the hood alignment right (It's centered the way it should be). Hood is VERY tight. Tried two-person method - one pushing down on hood, the other pulling hard on the release handle. Didn't work. Another forum suggested removing front bumper to get access to the lock assembly. Does this work? Other suggestions (push or pull harder?)? I don't want to bend the hood! Thanks
