  1. I am trying to fit a cdr23 headunit direct to speakers without connecting to either cd changer or amp ( both have issues.. Don't ask...!!!!) so, alternately is it possible to fit a Becker traffic pro direct to speakers, no amp etc, and wire it into existing wiring , I believe I need to source a ' speed pulse ' wire..?? Thanks...
  2. I think I have posted this in the wrong section, can I post it in the 986 boxster section..?
  3. It is a CDC4, which is not powering up... The amp is I'm 99% certain faulty, rather than throw money at new ones, considering there may be other issues that arise in the sysytem, I would rather, if possible just use a CDR23 with speakers only.... Can this be done..? Or if not, then fit a Becker traffic pro direct to speakers or a Becker Mexico....?? Is the cdr23 a ' fit with amp' only head unit or can it run 'standalone'...??
  4. Hi, thanks for reply, it's the Harman one, but I'm fairly sure that the amp and cd changer are faulty in some way.....
  5. Hi, firstly hello to all, i'm new to the world of Porsche, just bought a '03 Boxster for the wife (huge brownie points...!!!) when bought, it had an 'Alpine' single din headunit fitted and it appeared that the speaker wires to the amp had been cut and wired direct to the headunit... I sourced a cdr23 got the speaker wires re connected and had it 'coded' to the car at Porsche main dealer, but no sound..! believing it could be the Amp or maybe the CD changer causing a problem, it was tested again at Porsche who were very helpful (Porsche Silverstone at Towcester) and it was determined that the optical link was OK but it showed an error either with the amp or CD changer, using the software, the amp and CD changer were removed from the computer and we wired the speakers direct to the back of the headunit....but still no sound is there an answer to this..... please help, i don't want to re-fit the Alpine...if i have to i would like to fit a Becker Traffic Pro if i can't use the cdr23
